Classroom Procedures

***  Students MUST bring their county assigned computer with them to class each day.  Please charge computer nightly for daily use.  Students may bring chargers with them to ensure all day use of thier computer.  Failure to ensure devices are charged may result in the student falling behind or not being able to access documents needed for class (e.g. saved documents on their own device, etc).

Also note: Students CAN be provided cleaning wipes to clean their own desks upon request.

1. Entering the classroom - go straight to your assigned seat, put your stuff down, put your phone in the cell phone parking lot, go back to sit down, & prepare your desk for class to begin.

If you need to use the restroom put your books down at your desk, go straight to the restroom without asking, then be back BEFORE the tardy bell rings.

If you arrive late to school or from another class, enter quietly but you must have a note from the person you were with or a “Smart Pass,” be seated, and get caught up quickly and quietly.

2. Beginning of class - once the tardy bell has rang, class has officially started. Therefore, everyone is quiet and working on the Bell Ringer/Daily Problems.

3. When I need your attention I will say “Ok, Excuse me” then I need everyone quiet and attentive.

4. When needing help - raise your hand and wait quietly while going on until I can get to you.  There may be times I allow students at my desk too (which I will ask a student to come up).   Help charts may also be used.

5. Taking notes is EXPECTED – They’re guided notes.  You choose either paper or computer using the materials I have provided.

6. Homework – (when assigned) needs to be completed on time to show responsibility and for you to earn the best grade possible (see “Grading” for further details).

7. Sign-Out Sheet - When you have to leave class, no matter the reason, you MUST sign out through “Smart Pass” on your computer and then “end” the pass when you return.

8. Class Dismissal - You are dismissed when I say “Have a great day!” Leave respectfully and orderly.
